With Stephanie Spreeman, Founder of Neuro Clarity Now

Every family has its own rhythm.

Some days that rhythm flows effortlessly. Other days, it can feel like everyone is playing to a different beat.

Families navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, sensory sensitivities, learning differences, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, or major life transitions often experience unique joys and challenges that require understanding, patience, and new ways of connecting.

Stephanie Spreeman believes that every family member deserves to feel seen, heard, valued, and supported. Through her unique combination of Neurodiversity Coaching and Drum Therapy, Stephanie creates an inclusive space where families can strengthen relationships, improve communication, and discover the power of connecting through rhythm.

A Personal Journey That Inspires a Family-Centered Approach

Stephanie's work is rooted in both professional expertise and lived experience.

After surviving a traumatic car accident as a teenager that resulted in a brain injury and PTSD, she discovered the healing power of rhythm through her lifelong passion for percussion. Drumming became a natural part of her own journey toward healing, emotional regulation, and self-expression.

Today, as the Founder of Neuro Clarity Now, a Certified Neurodiversity Coach, Certified Drum Therapy Facilitator, ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), and Trauma-Informed Practitioner, Stephanie combines neuroscience-informed rhythmic experiences with strengths-based coaching strategies to support children, teens, adults, and families.

Her philosophy is simple:

Every brain has a unique rhythm. When families learn to understand each other's rhythms, they can create greater harmony together.

Understanding Neurodiversity Within the Family

Families are made up of individuals with different personalities, nervous systems, communication styles, and ways of experiencing the world.

Neurodiversity Coaching helps families move away from constant conflict and frustration and toward curiosity, understanding, and collaboration.

Instead of asking:

"Why are they behaving this way?"

Families begin asking:

"What is this behavior communicating, and how can we provide support?"

Through coaching, families can learn to:

  • Better understand ADHD, autism, anxiety, and sensory differences

  • Recognize individual strengths and support needs

  • Create routines and environments that reduce overwhelm

  • Improve communication between parents, children, and siblings

  • Develop emotional regulation strategies

  • Build confidence and independence

  • Reduce shame, frustration, and misunderstandings

  • Strengthen family relationships

When families understand how each person's brain works, they can replace conflict with connection.

The Power of Drum Therapy for Families

Drum Therapy offers a powerful way for families to communicate without relying solely on words.

In a drum circle, there are no grades, expectations, or competition. There is only a shared experience of listening, responding, creating, and playing together.

The rhythm becomes a conversation.

Through guided drumming experiences, families can practice:

  • Active listening and non-verbal communication

  • Taking turns and respecting each other's space

  • Following and leading

  • Expressing emotions in a safe and creative way

  • Managing frustration and building patience

  • Working together toward a common goal

  • Celebrating individual contributions to the group

Research on music and rhythm-based interventions suggests that group drumming can support social connection, reduce stress, and improve mood by engaging the body, emotions, and social experiences simultaneously.

For many families, these moments of joy and play become opportunities to reconnect with one another.

Supporting Emotional Regulation Through Rhythm

Many children and adults living with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, or sensory processing differences struggle with emotional regulation.

Big emotions may appear as anger, withdrawal, impulsivity, frustration, or overwhelm.

Rhythm provides a structured and predictable sensory experience that helps individuals develop greater awareness of their energy levels and emotional states.

A fast, energetic rhythm can provide a healthy outlet for excitement, stress, or frustration.

A slower, steady rhythm can encourage calm, focus, relaxation, and self-regulation.

Through these experiences, families learn practical ways to use rhythm as a tool for co-regulation, emotional awareness, and connection at home.

Creating a Safe Space Where Every Family Member Belongs

One of the greatest gifts of combining Neurodiversity Coaching with Drum Therapy is that every person has a role.

The child who struggles to sit still may become the one who brings energy and creativity to the rhythm.

The quiet sibling may discover confidence through a steady beat.

Parents may gain a deeper understanding of their children's sensory needs, emotional experiences, and communication styles.

There is no "perfect" rhythm in a family.

There are simply different rhythms learning how to work together.

Stephanie's sessions provide families with a welcoming, judgment-free environment where strengths are celebrated, differences are respected, and meaningful connections can grow.

More Than a Session—A New Way of Connecting

Families often come looking for tools to manage challenges.

They leave with something even more valuable: a renewed sense of connection.

By combining Neurodiversity Coaching with Drum Therapy, Stephanie Spreeman helps families build communication, compassion, confidence, resilience, and understanding—one rhythm at a time.

Because a family does not need everyone to play the same beat to create beautiful music.

The most meaningful harmony happens when every individual rhythm is welcomed into the circle.
